Near East University graduates met with students

A graduate of Near East University, Kanal D News reporter Ertan Büyükahiska, TRT Ankara sports reporter Mehmet Ali Genç and İlhan Pak, who has worked as a production coordinator in many big productions, shared their experiences with the students of the Faculty of Communication of Near East University.

Many graduates of the Near East University, which has over 35 years of academic experience and is shown as one of the best 250 universities in Europe in the “World’s Best Universities 2022” ranking announced by AD Scientific Index last week and is by far the best university in the TRNC, play important roles in many different institutions, from the public to the private sector.

Near East University Faculty of Communication also has many graduates who play important roles in the media sector. The graduates of the Near East University Faculty of Communication, who met with the students in an event held in cooperation with the Near East University Communication Faculty Radio, Television and Cinema Department and the Communication Research Center, came together with the students, who are the communication experts of the future, to share their experiences through the interview, career and workshop studies.

Workshops and interviews were held with graduates who specialize in their fields.
Within the scope of activities with alumni; A three-week accurate news writing workshop and career development activities were held with Kanal D News Reporter Ertan Büyükahiska. While a professional promotion and career development event was held with İlhan Pak, who has worked as a production coordinator in many big productions in the fields of cinema and television, Mehmet Ali Genç, who works as a sports reporter at TRT Ankara, shared his experiences with communication students.

In the scientific and applied education studies carried out under the guidance of Head of the Center for Communication Studies Prof. Fevzi Kasap, the faculty members of the Faculty of Communication of Near East University, Dr. Serkan Fundalar, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ufuk Çelik, Assist. Prof. Dr. Sinem D. Kasımoğlu and lecturers Zeyde Örek and Murat Acaralp also took part.
