Near East University Faculty of Medicine had its name on Best Scientific Declarations at the 52nd Congress of the Human Genome Community

The European Human Genetics Congress 2018, which is one of the most respected genetic congress of the world organized in Milan, Italy and attended by approximately 5 thousand scientists, held with participation of members of Near East University Faculty of Medicine, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pınar Tülay and Assist. Prof. Dr. Mahmut Çerkez Ergören who successfully represented both Near East University and Northern Cyprus with one poster and two poster presentations classified among the best posters.

Near East University Press and Public Relations Directorate revealed a press statement stating that the Near East University Faculty of Medicine teaching staff Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pinar Tülay congratulated by important scientists for the successful presentation of her work titled "Ethical approaches to oocyte donations" on the "donation programs" in the urea-assisted treatment centers in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Near East University Faculty of Medicine Medical Biology Department Lecturer Assist. Prof. Dr. Mahmut Çerkez Ergören who conducted a collaborative work with MAGI Genetic and Rare Diseases Research, Diagnosis and Treatment Laboratories which is active in Italy and signed a cooperation protocol with Near East University in January2018, and Uludağ University Medical Faculty Medical Genetics Department, presented the paper titled "Psychomotor retardation in the presence of an achondroplasia child", which is the first in the relevant literature and presented as one of the best papers.

In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pınar Tülay and Assist. Prof. Dr. Mahmut Çerkez Ergören presented their work titled "Awareness about pre-eclampsia in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus", which they conducted with their colleagues and classified in the best selected papers.
