Near East University Faculty of Health Sciences graduates received their diplomas with a ceremony before joining the health army

Near East University Faculty of Health Sciences, 2021-2022 academic year spring term graduation ceremony was held at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center with intense participation.

Near East University Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of Near East University Prof. Dr. Adile Özgören, deans, department heads, lecturers, alumni, students’ families and many guests attended the ceremony. After a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, a violin recital was performed by Faculty of Music Education member Dr. İlyas Abdullin.

At the ceremony, which started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ and Prof. Dr. Adile Özgören and the top graduate student of the faculty Walled Abdullah Al-Amoudi made speeches.

After the speeches, Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ and Prof. Dr. Adile Özgören presented the students with their medals and diplomas. Later, the graduates were given their diplomas by the faculty members. The ceremony ended with the cap throwing ceremony.


Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ: “Your success will determine whether you can keep your ship on course after all.”
In his speech at the ceremony, Near East University Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ stated that many diseases that take their place in the history of humanity will not change while the change continues, “No matter which field you choose, you will encounter storms that will bring you to the point of giving up. Whatever you are doing, your success will determine whether you can keep your ship on course despite everything.”

Calling on the graduates to be open to dialogue without prejudice, Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ said, “Have the courage to change your minds. Focusing on the causes of problems, whining and grumbling will make you a part of these problems. Instead of being stuck in this dark direction, focus on being a part of the solution. Conduct research, question, interpret and produce solutions. Develop a vision, improve yourself, change the world”.


Prof. Dr. Adile Özgören: “Act knowing that being a healthcare worker is not a profession, but a life choice beyond it.”
Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Adile Özgören, in her speech at the graduation ceremony, said, “Each of you will join the health community as an important soldier in the field of health. Act knowing that being a health worker is not a profession but a life choice.”

“It is important to dream, to be able to follow dreams, to be honest, to work and to produce. Success must follow this,” said Prof. Dr. Özgören and added that Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said, “We only need one thing. It is to be hardworking. He emphasized that he who loves his country the most is the one who does his duty best”. Prof. Dr. Adile Özgören also said, “As individuals who practice their profession in the best way in your next life, I would like you to always be a part of our school and share your suggestions for improvement. Your way will always intersect with sincere and honest people who know your value and you also know your value; Good luck, good luck and may your path be clear and bright.

Walled Abdullah Al-Amoundi: “If you want something, don’t stop and don’t surrender despite all the difficulties.”
In his speech on behalf of the graduates, Walled Abdullah Al-Amoudi, who graduated as the top student of the faculty, said, “Whoever seeks success must continue despite all the conditions and difficult times. Sometimes you will go through tough times where you feel helpless or where your dream is nearly impossible. But what I know for sure is that if you want something, don’t stop and don’t surrender, despite all the difficulties. We worked hard, we fell asleep a lot, but despite all this, we are celebrating our graduation here, we can proudly say that we succeeded today.”
