Near East University, Faculty of Health Sciences 2016 - 2017 Spring Semester Graduation Ceremony held.

Near East University Faculty of Health Sciences Graduation Ceremony for 2016 - 2017 Spring Semester was held in 2 stages because of the intensive participation in Atatürk Culture Centre Great Hall.

According to the press statement made by Near East University Press and Public Relations Directorate, Central District Governor Ahmet Aslan, President of the Board of Trustees of the Near East University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Sanlıdağ, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Sevinc Yücecan, faculty members, students and parents participated in the ceremony.

The graduation ceremony started with a minute of silence and singing the National Anthem in memory of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of Turkey; Turkish Cypriot Leader Dr. Fazıl Küçük, and TRNC Founding President Rauf Denktaş, and all the martyrs.

Faculty of Health Sciences Founding Dean Prof. Dr. Sevinç Yücecan; "Today is the joyful day of a long journey through which our graduates, their parents and our lecturers have much contributed for years.

Professor Dr. Yücecan said;"18 Graduate, 217 Undergraduate Students Graduated."

Professor Dr. Yücecan said, "18 Graduate students, 217 undergraduate students graduated this term. We are proud that each graduating student is a member of the Near East University, the most prominent, leading and largest educational and cultural center of Cyprus".

Professor Dr. Şanlıdağ; "Near East University is a member of 118 National and International Institutions."

Professor Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ said, "Near East University is a higher education o established in 1988 in line with Dr. Günsel's enormous vision and now, having an international reputation, it provides international education opportunities with its highly competent academic staff.

Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ emphasized that the basic aim of the Near East University is to train scientists who are mindful, rational, creative and free-minded. Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ said, "Based on the 3 rd generation university model, the Near East University is dedicated to transform all the scientific data obtained by research and development activities into the benefit of the society."

After the speeches, e music recital performed by Prof. Atakan Sarı and Umut Cem Erten, lecturer of Near East University Ataturk Education Faculty.

Later, Prof. Dr. Sevinç Yücecan engaged students into the procecess of making a professional vow.

Then, the diplomas were presented in presence of excited families and invited guests who filled up the Hall and the ceremony ended with throwing hats into the air.
