Near East University faculty members have been selected as the TRNC jurymen of the International Rotary Short Film Festival (ROFIFE) to be held in Turkey by Rotary Club

Türkiye de Rotary Kulüp Tarafından Düzenlenen Rofife Kısa Film Yarışması KKTC Jurisi YDÜ Öğretim Görevlilerinden Oluşturuldu

The 9th ROFIFE International Short Film Festival is preparing to meet moviegoers in Mersin-Turkey between 22 and 25 March, 2017. The festival contest will be realized in four categories including Fiction, Documentary, Experimental and Animation that limited to 20 minutes. Only the films that meet the specifications of competition can participate in the contest. In order to assess films participating in the competition, members of jurymen are selected by the authorized organs of the Selection Club among scholars, academics, professionals and artists. This year, TRNC members of jurymen have been selected among the faculty members of the Near East University. ROFIFE awards will be given to the finalist films ranking top three in each category. Besides, ROFIFE Committee can give two ‘Special Awards’ and the Festival Grand Jurymen has the right to give ‘honorable mention’ to one or more films.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of the Near East University, faculty members Emrah Öztürk, Zeyde Yaşıner Örek and the Chairman Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fevzi Kasap will take part in the event as member of jurymen to assess hundreds of films within the scope of categorical themes, principles and criteria set for the 9th International Short Film Festival (ROFIFE).
