Near East University Faculty Member Assist. Prof. Dr. Fatma Miralay designs Private Money Specific to the Ancient City of Salamis

Near East University, Atatürk Faculty of Education, Head of Department of Fine Arts Teaching Assist. Prof. Dr. Fatma Miralay represented Near East University at the “International Memorial Money Designs Exhibition" at Hacettepe University with the coin specific to Salamis Antique City.

According to the information given by the Near East University Press and Public Relations Directorate, as part of the 50th anniversary of the foundation of Hacettepe University, Assist. Prof. Dr. Fatma Miralay participated in the International Memorial Money Design Exhibition held at the Ahmet Göğüş Art Gallery under the patronage of the Department of Graphic Design of Hacettepe University, and attracted great attention with the coin design specific to Salamis Ancient City.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Miralay, stating that she has conducted a study through the corporate identity of the Near East University, she designed a coin specific to Salamis Ancient City within the scope of preservation and transformation of cultural heritage.

Regarding the event, Miralay said that special coin designs are carried out in order to commemorate important historical periods, celebrations, important awards used to introduce countries around the world, statesmen who have contributed to the founding of states, scientists who have made significant inventions and cultural heritage, and so on.
