Near East University experimental animals research and applications lab ready to use

Near East University Experimental Animals Research and Application Laboratory (NEU-dehal) was established by the Centre of Excellence all preparations have been completed. All applications and necessary training are already in progress for the lab which was established with the most advanced technological systems in order to ensure contribution to scientific experiments in compliance with the international ethical standards.

Lab is ready for experiments…

Assist. Prof. Dr. Zafer Sabit and Research Assistant Hasan Anıt, who will supervise the studies at the lab have completed their trainings. Assit. Prof. Dr. Sabit and Anıt have undertaken a 15-day theoretical and practical training, learnt about the experimental procedures on experimental animals and administrative issues related to lab supervising, and passed the tests and received their certificates. With these certificates, experiments can now be carried out at the lab.

Prof. Dr. Nedime Serakıncı: “Permission applications were made for the lab which was established at the international standarts and will only be used for necessarry issues”

Prof. Dr. Nedime Serakıncı, Head of Centre of Excellence of Near East University, said “Experimental Animals Research and Application Lab, with its advanced technical infrastructure, has reached to its aims step by step, and now is ready for serving to students, research assistants, lecturers in their scientific studies and experiments.

Prof. Dr. Omar Esendal: "We are highly sensitive and extremely precise on ethical issues"

Prof. Dr. Ömer Esendal, Dean of Veterinary Faculty, pointed out their dedication to ethical values and said that they are highly sensitive and extremely precise on ethical issues. Prof. Dr. Esendal also said “The experimental animals will be imported from abroad, as soon as the necessary permissions are obtained, and access to lab will only be possible through the personal identity cards processed and recognized by electronic security systems.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Osman Ergene, Chief Physician of Animal Hospital of Near East University, stated that the establishment of this lab is a great contribution to science and advancements of humanity.
