Near East University English Preparatory School continues its instructor training to meet changing student needs in language education.

Language education plays a vital role in developing communication and collaboration skills in a globalizing world. At Near East University, which offers an international education environment with students from 143 countries of the world, the English Preparatory School, which provides language education to students who need it, continues to improve itself to meet the changing student needs in language education.

Near East University English Preparatory School instructors continue to participate in many trainings in order to improve their competencies and adopt and implement new educational approaches. The first of the trainings received in this context was the seminar on integrating digital products into education, organized in cooperation with Berberoğlu Bookstore and Pearson, in April. In this training, the digitalization of materials and English language exams and the benefits of this digitalization for the educator were discussed. Aslı Kasabalı Günhan and Leyli Rüstemova, who attended the training, were informed about the use of these products.


Another training that followed was the IATEFL training that English Preparatory School Deputy Principal Semra Özalev Parlak attended in England with the support of Berberoğlu Bookstore. At this conference organized by the International Association of English Teachers, various topics were touched upon, especially AI (artificial intelligence), critical thinking in education and innovations in language proficiency assessment criteria.

Near East University English Preparatory School attended the training organized by Macmillan Education Publishing House and Deniz Plaza in May with a larger team in order to reinforce their knowledge on goal setting, lesson planning and exam preparation. The participating team members consisting of Aslı Kasabalı Günhan, Leyli Rüstemova, Gulshan Achilova, Parisa Saam, Enes Altan, Mavlyuda Nurullayeva, Mahjabeen Hameed and Sinem Sönmez, were some of the most experienced names in the field. They obtained information and guidance from Esin Çağlayan that would increase the effectiveness of educational practices and exchanged ideas to integrate them into the preparatory school.
