
Near East University Disabled Rights Monitoring Committee (DRMC/EHIK) members and TRNC President of the Sports Federation for the Disabled Ruhsar Vudalı, TRNC Disabled Sports Federation Team Trainer Hüseyin Dayı and the Prime Minister's Disability Services Coordination Board President Günay Kibrit held a meeting on disabled rights, in particular on the disabled in sports.
According to the information provided by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of the Near East University, in addition to the education and employment issues of disabled citizens; the implementation standards in the state, the sanctioning power of local administrations, the ever-increasing distorted construction and other physical barriers from private to general were examined. In addition to these, policies related to access, transportation and travel, pilot practices in education and social policies aimed at bringing disabled citizens into the society were discussed.

In the second part of the meeting, opinions exchanged about the the athletes representing our country in the national and international sports arena as the members of the Disabled Wheelchair Basketball Team under the TRNC Sports Federation.
At the end of the meeting, the committee members who gave information about the Disabled Rights Monitoring Workshop, the President of the TRNC Sports Federation for the Disabled, Ruhsar Vudalı, the Team Coach of the TRNC Sports Federation Hüseyin Dayı and the Prime Minister's Coordination Board President Günay Kibrit’s expectations and needs were identified.
Near East University committee members emphasized that they are always ready to cooperate in monitoring disabled rights and other issues related to disabled rights.
