Near East University Women's Basketball Team faced Galatasaray in the fifth week of Turkish Women's Basketball Super League. The game was the scene of breathtaking moments and tough fights. Near East University won this challenging game 71-77. With this victory, Near East University won all of the five games that played in the league so far while Galatasaray remained with 3 wins.

According to the info released by the Near East University Sports Club, Near East University Women’s Basketball Team faced Galatasaray at Ahmet Cömert Sports Hall at 14:00 (GMT+2) on Saturday 4 November 2017. From the beginning to the last second, the game was the scene of great thrill and breathtaking moments. The periods were completed as 25-21, 40-40, 58-58 and 71-77. With 20 points, Quanitra Hollingsworth was the top scorer player of the game. Being dominant underneath the basket, Near East University exhibited higher performance in rebounds as well 31-44.

Both team started the first period with high tempo and exhibited great performance to dominate the game. With two-point shots, Near East University brought to score 15-12 at the 6th minute. Grasping the game with three-point shots and free throws, Galatasaray won the first period 25-21.

Both teams demonstrated great effort to grasp and get the game in the second period. At the 4th minute, Near East University led the game first time by 29-30. Thus, Near East University defeated its challenging rival 71-77 and left the court victoriously.
