The Near East Primary School boys’ badminton team won all their matches in the Junior Badminton matches, becoming the TRNC champions.
The Near East Primary School boys’ badminton team achieved an undefeated TRNC championship with their performance in the “Junior Badminton Competitions” organized by the Ministry of National Education. Throughout the tournament, the team played a dominant game against their opponents, drawing attention with their disciplined and determined performance.
The Near East Primary School Boys’ Badminton Team, consisting of Hüseyin Ali Özdengiz, Emre Eminsoy, Can Günsel, Aren Akkagün, and Hasan Borankan, made a significant success by winning the championship. The team was prepared for the championship by Vildan Dalyan, the Physical Education teacher at Near East Primary School.
In the boys’ category, Near East Primary School came first, Şehit Yalçın Primary School came second, and Necati Taşkın Primary School came third.

Reminding that Near East Primary School recently became the TRNC champion in basketball and gymnastics, the school principal, Fatma Coşar, said they were delighted and honored to have achieved the same success in badminton. Emphasizing that the school prioritizes the multifaceted development of students not only in the academic field but also in sports and social activities, Coşar said, “The consistent success our students have shown in academic and athletic fields fills us with great pride.”
Stating that the dedicated work of the teachers and the support of the parents played a major role in these successes, Fatma Coşar addressed the students, saying; “You have shown many times that you can be successful in every field with your determination and resolve. I wholeheartedly believe that your achievements will continue.”
