Prepared by the contributions of Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design lecturers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yücel Yazgın, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mine Okur, Dr. Gokhan Okur, Dr. Raif Kızıl and Selçuk Yalovalı, the “Near East Fine Arts Print Painting Exhibition” will be opened on Thursday, July 1, by the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Resmiye Eroğlu Canaltay.

The 374th exhibition of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts
Near East Fine Arts Print Painting Exhibition, which is the 374th exhibition organized by the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, consists of 20 artworks. The exhibition, which will open at 09:30 on Thursday, July 01, 2021 at the Near East Yeniboğaziçi Campus Grand Library Fine Arts Gallery, can be visited until Friday, July 16, 2021.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün: “Artists reveal their perspectives, methods, techniques and artistic views in their works”
The curator of the Near East Fine Arts Print Painting Exhibition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün said that the works that will be included in the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts collection are the product of tremendous effort and intense disciplined work stemming from the nature of printmaking. The works also reveal the perspectives, working methods and techniques of their artists.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün said that the exhibition will include works reproduced with printing patterns prepared by artists using traditional printing techniques. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ergün said, “Our exhibition consists of periodic artistic works produced in large sizes by the faculty members of our faculty, whose working disciplines are traditional printing methods used at the printmaking workshops of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design. I think that art lovers will enjoy watching all the technical and creative processes related to printmaking in this exhibition.”
