The third of the public primary schools that the Near East Enterprises will bring to education in each of the 6 districts of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Dr. Suat Günsel State Primary School Famagusta will be handed over to the Directorate of Primary Education Department of the Ministry of National Education with a ceremony to be held on August 19. With this school that will start education in Famagusta in the new education period, the delivery of three of the six full-fledged primary schools, which the Near East Enterprises announced that they will hand over to the state in December 2020 with the decision of the Günsel Family Board, will have been completed in 20 months.

Dr. Suat Günsel State Primary Schools were brought into education in three districts in 20 months,
Each of them is full-fledged and has a capacity of 500 students. The first of Suat Günsel State Primary Schools started education in Nicosia in September 2021. Dr. Suat Günsel State Primary School Iskele, on the other hand, was made ready for education by the Near East Enterprises and delivered to the Directorate of Primary Education Department of the Ministry of National Education in November 2021. Following the delivery of the Dr. Suat Günsel Famagusta State Primary School on August 19, other Dr. Suat Günsel State Primary Schools will be built in Kyrenia, Güzelyurt and Lefke after Famagusta. Together with Suat Günsel State Primary Schools, the “6 state primary schools in 6 districts” project of the Near East Enterprises will continue.

Reminding that they took the decision to build 6 public primary schools in 6 districts of the TRNC in December 2020, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said, “We are proud of making three of the schools we have planned ready for education in the 20th month of the decision made by the Günsel Family Board. After Nicosia and Iskele, we have completed the construction of a full-fledged 500 student capacity school in Famagusta. We will hand over Dr. Suat Günsel State Primary School Famagusta to the Directorate of Primary Education Department of the Ministry of National Education on 19 August. We invite all our people to participate in this meaningful ceremony.”
