Near East College student Barkan Cem Aykut, who made many achievements, including getting the first place in Turkey in the swimming races, participated in 2023-2024 swimming races and broke two records and won two more medals in the races held in Giresun on 20-22 July.
Near East College student Barkan Cem Aykut broke records in two branches and won two medals at the Turkey Junior Long Course Swimming Championship held in Giresun on 20-22 July. Barkan Cem Aykut, who achieved great success in the swimming races he participated in throughout the season in Turkey, became the first in Turkey in the 50 meters breaststroke at the School Sports Stars Finals held in Bolu, in June 2023. Near East College 8th-year student Barkan Cem Aykut, who also raced in the Turkish Arena Short Course Swimming Championship organized by the Turkish Swimming Federation in Istanbul in December 2022, became the 5th in Turkey with a time of 00.32.78 and broke the TRNC record in 13-14 age category.

Near East College student Barkan Cem Aykut, who successfully represented the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in swimming races with his degrees, continued to make us proud with his degrees. Barkan Cem Aykut, who broke two records and won two more medals in the races held in Giresun in the past weeks, added new ones to his successes throughout the season.

Competing in the Turkey Junior Long Course Swimming Championship held in Giresun, Barkan Cem Aykut succeeded in passing the 14 age threshold of Turkey in three categories. The successful swimmer passed the Turkish Swimming Federation (TYF) jump-off for ages 14 and 15 with a time of 00:33.21 in the 50-meter breaststroke category, and won a medal coming eighth in Turkey.

Aykut broke the 14-year-old TYF jump-off and the 14-year-old TRNC Long Course Record with a time of 02:42.20 in the 200 meters breaststroke category. He also broke the TRNC record and became the seventh in Turkey. With these degrees, Aykut completed the races he participated in on 20-22 July with two medals and two records.
