Minister of Labor and Social Security Dr. Faiz Sucuoğlu will open the solo exhibition of Kazakh artist Omirzak Rystam and the group exhibition of Tajik artists Bahrom Ismatov, Farrukh Negmatzade, Parvin Gulov and Bahruz Zabirrov, consisting of artworks exclusively made for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts.

According to the information provided by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the opening ceremony of solo and group exhibitions will take place on November 22, 2019, at 08.30 on Friday, at the Near East University Faculty of Dentistry Exhibition Hall.

Who is Omirzak Rystam?
He was born in 1950 in Ulanbator, Mongolia. From 1973 to 1974, he studied at the Herder Institute of Languages, Leipzig, Germany. Between 1974-1980, he specialized in painting at the Gallic Art Academy in Germany. Since 1981, he has been a member of the Mongolian Artists Association. He has participated in international and national exhibitions since 1980. From 1982 to 1992, he served as a Board Member of the Mongolian Artists Association. Omirzak Rystam's works are kept in private collections in Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Germany, Japan, Russia, Italy, France, USA and also in the residence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was awarded diplomas in Republic competitions between 1985 - 1987 and in international master class art festival held in 2002.

Who is Faruk Negmatzade?
He was born in 1959 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. He graduated from the USSR Moscow Art Academy. In 1982 he graduated from the Surikov Institute of Art in Moscow. He has been participating in regional, national, all-Union and international exhibitions. His works are in museums and private collections in different countries.

Who is Bahrom Ismatov?
He was born in 1979 in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan. In 1998, he graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Olimov Republic Art College in Dushanbe. In 2004, he graduated from Tursunzade Tajik State Institute of Art. Since 2004, he has been teaching easel painting at Tursunzade Tajik State Institute of Art. He is a member of the Tajikistan Artists Association. He has participated in national and international exhibitions such as "Suruş 2001” and “Suruş 2002" held in the city of Dushambe. In 2003, he took part in the international art exhibition "Art of Nations" dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Confederation of International Artists Union in Moscow. In 2004, he participated in "Ecology” exhibition in Moscow. In 2008, he participated in an exhibition in the cultural center of Baktriya and took part in the “Youth” project in Astana. In 2009, he participated in the Commonwealth of Independent States Youth Days in Baku, Azerbaijan. In 2011, he held a solo exhibition “Navruz" in Dushanbe. In 2016, he held a solo exhibition at Siren Hotel, in Dushanbe, and a solo exhibition in the Business Center building. He also participated in the Cultural Days of Tajikistan in Minsk, Republic of Belarus. His works take place in many private collections of European and Asian countries.

Who is Zabirov Behruz?
He was born on November 7, 1985 in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan. In 2006, he graduated from Olimov State Art College in Dushanbe. In 2011, he graduated from Tursunzade Tajik State Institute of Art. Between 2011-2013, he worked as a private discipline teacher at Tursunzade Tajik State Institute of Art. Since 2013, he has been a senior lecturer in special disciplines at the Tajikistan State Institute of Fine Arts and Design. He also works in a workshop at the Tajikistan Art Fund. Since 2015, he has been a member of Tajikistan Artists Association and since 2017, he has been a member of the board of directors. In 2019, he participated in the Tajik artists' exhibition in the cultural center of the US Embassy in Dushanbe. In 2018, he participated in the art exhibition "We are together again", and participated in international exhibitions in China, France, and Armenia. In 2017, he participated in the Republican Exhibition "The Pulse of Youth" at the National Museum of Tajikistan. In 2016, he participated in an art exhibition at the National Museum of the Republic of Turkmenistan. In 2013, he participated in the exhibition of young artists of Tajikistan held at the Artists' Union Hall, and also participated in the exhibition of young artists of the Moscow Central Artists House. In 2011, he held a solo exhibition at the Tajikistan Art Fund. In 2010, he participated in the international "CIS Modern Art" project in Dushanbe. His works take place in many private collections of European and Central Asian countries.

Who is Parvin Gulov?
She was born on October 23, 1979, in Tajikistan. In 1995, she entered Olimov Republic Art College in Dushanbe city. In 1999, she entered the Faculty of Art of Tursun-Zade Tajik State Institute of Art. Since 2000, she has been participating in regional, national and international exhibitions. Between 2000-2004, she participated in exhibitions dedicated to Navruz holiday in Dushanbe. She also participated in art exhibitions dedicated to Independence Day. In 2001, she opened her solo exhibition in "Baktriya" Cultural Center. In 2015, she opened a solo exhibition in Siren Hotel in Dushanbe. Nowadays she is working as a teacher at Olimov Republic Art College in Dushanbe. Her works take place in museums in different countries and in many private collections.
