Expert figures will discuss human trafficking, immigration and terrorism in details at Near East Institute Security Academy

Migration and political expert Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Erdoğan and Ercan Çitlioğlu, who is a key expert on terrorism and security, will give seminars at the Security Academy Certificate Program that organized by Near East Institute. During the seminar, they debate human trafficking, migration and terrorism with the participants.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press andPublic Relations Office of Near East University, migration and political expert Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Erdoğan and Ercan Çitlioğlu, who is a key expert on terrorism and security, would participate in the sessions at the Security Academy Certificate Program executed by Near East Institute Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umut Koldaş and Ercan Çitlioğlu, Advisor of Near East Institute Strategic Studies Center. Within the scope of the program, the sessions will be held at NEU Grand Library Hall 4 at 10:00 on April 9, 2016. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Erdoğan will give a seminar on “Human Trafficking and Immigrations” and Mr. Çitlioğlu will give a seminar on Terrorism and Counter-terrorism”.

Umut Koldaş: Illegal human movements and terrorism have become the prime security issues of the region

Near East Institute Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umut Koldaş delivered information regarding the certificate programs that organized by Near East Institute within the scope of Security Academy. “Within the scope of Security Academy certificate program, different aspects of different security issues are being discussed in details by field experts. Migration and refugee movements in the Mediterranean geography gained momentum in recent years and have become one of the major issues not only for the countries in the region but also for international society” said he.

The Security Academy Certificate Program will continue to host significant speakers with different topics with a special focus on security and its applications. The program will come to an end on May 21, 2016.
