Medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and veterinary medicine students of Near East University will participate in internship and research exchange programs in 19 different countries this summer

Near East University students will go 19 different countries (Estonia, Moldova, Czech Republic, Italy, Denmark, Slovenia, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Jordan, Finland, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Egypt, Romania, Taiwan, Germany, Brazil) in July and August in line with internship exchange programs. Accordingly, in August, 22 students from 13 countries (Poland, Germany, Italy, Estonia, Spain, Romania, Egypt, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Moldova) will do their internship at Near East University.

Near East University, an international campus with students from 143 countries, also provides its students with the opportunity to participate in internship and research exchange programs around the world, thanks to the international exchange programs with which it is a part of. The focus of the exchange network that strengthens the “international university” identity of Near East University is the faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicine.

Northern Cyprus Association of Dentistry Students (NCADS), Pharmacy Students Association of Northern Cyprus (PSANC), Medical Students Association of Northern Cyprus (MSANC), Near East Medical Students Association (NEUMSA), International Veterinary Students Association, which operate under the Dean of Students Office of Near East University. National student unions that bring students together at Near East University are also members of international student unions in the fields of Dentistry (IADS), Pharmacy (IPSF), Medicine (IFMSA) and Veterinary Medicine (IVSA).

With the internship and research exchange programs carried out by student unions, many students from 24 countries have come to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and studied on the Near East University campus. International students do internships and research at the Faculty of Dentistry, Dental Hospital, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine and Near East Hospital, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Hospital at Near East University. Near East University students also conduct internships and research at universities in many different countries within the scope of the same programs.

The visits of students continue in the summer months

Within the scope of the exchange programs that continue throughout the year, 15 students from Romania and Turkey did their internship at the Near East University Animal Hospital in March and April, with the internship exchange program carried out in cooperation with the International Veterinary Students Association (IVSA) and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

Within the scope of the exchange program initiated with the cooperation of the Pharmacy Students Association (PSANC) and the Near East University Faculty of Pharmacy, 8 students, three from Poland, two from Slovakia, two from the Czech Republic and one from Romania, have been transferred to the TRNC and continuing their studies. Students studying in the well-equipped laboratories of Near East University, Faculty of Pharmacy, conduct research in the departments of pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical technology and analytical chemistry.

Applications were accepted from four different countries, Slovakia, Russia, Lebanon and Egypt, within the scope of the exchange program carried out by the Northern Cyprus Dental Student Association (NCADS) with the support of the Near East University Faculty of Dentistry. Within the scope of the internship program, students coming from abroad in the coming days will do their internship in the modern and state-of-the-art clinics of the Near East University Dental Hospital. They will also explore Northern Cyprus and participate in social events.

Within the scope of the program carried out in cooperation with the International Federation of Medical Student Associations (IFMSA), Medical Students Association of Northern Cyprus (MSANC), Near East Medical Students Association (NEUMSA), Near East University Faculty of Medicine and Near East University Hospital, nine students from nine different countries (Czech Republic, Ukraine, Slovakia, Denmark, Taiwan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jordan, Spain, Hungary) will come to the TRNC in July for internship in plastic surgery, general surgery, urology, neurosurgery, infectious diseases, gynecology and obstetrics, internal medicine and pediatrics departments. With the arrival of medical students in August, the number of countries hosted will increase to 13, and the number of international students will increase to 22.

Also drawing attention to the multicultural education environment of Near East University,Prof .
