Medical Students Association of Northern Cyprus (MSANC) represented the TRNC at the IFMSA meeting held in Estonia with the participation of 151 countries

Medical Students Association of Northern Cyprus Vice President for Foreign Affairs Aysu Özbek and Research Exchange Officer Kağan Demirbaş represented the TRNC at the IFMSA meeting held in Estonia with the participation of 151 countries.

At the international meeting held in Estonia with the participation of many countries, students exchanged information with many medical faculty students from different parts of the world. Students also participated in the internship exchange fair by sharing their activities and projects with each other during this period. The students, who also made presentations introducing the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Near East University Hospital, also had the opportunity to announce their work to the whole world.

Aysu Özbek: “As Medical Students Association of Northern Cyprus, we continue our studies at IFMSA, of which we have been a full member for three years, without slowing down.”
Stating that they are happy to represent the TRNC at the 72nd IFMSA meeting, MSANC Vice President for Foreign Affairs Aysu Özbek said, “As the Medical Students Association of Northern Cyprus, we continue our studies at IFMSA, of which we have been a full member for three years.”

Saying that they could reach many medical students from different parts of the world at the IFMSA meeting attended by 151 countries, Aysu Özbek said, “We had the opportunity to tell about the activities and projects we have carried out in the TRNC and to talk about our studies with the medical students from all over the world. We established good relations and good ties with other unions at the Internship Exchange Fair. We are sure that the TRNC will host more and more exchange students day by day.”

Sara Darweesh, President of the Medical Students Association of Northern Cyprus (MSANC), expressed her happiness to represent the students studying medicine in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus at the meetings of the International Medical Students Association Federation and said, “I would like to thank Near East University Dean of Students Prof. Dr. Dudu Özkum Yavuz and our teachers for their support.”

Reminding that medical education in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus started with the Near East University Faculty of Medicine, Near East University Dean of Students Prof. Dr. Dudu Özkum Yavuz said, “As Near East University, which has become one of the most important centers in medical education in the region with its qualified education and application opportunities, we attach great importance to the representation of our university and our country by medical students studying on the island in international organizations.”

Emphasizing that the Medical Students Association of Northern Cyprus makes a very important contribution to the meeting of medical students in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with the world, Prof. Dr. Dudu Özkum Yavuz said, “We were happy with the representation of our students at the IFMSA meeting in Estonia after Bosnia and Herzegovina. We will always continue to support our students by paving the way for their participation in international organizations.”
