Mathematics Education Club which was founded five years ago at the Near East University Atatürk Education Faculty, elected Meltem Görmez president and Fikriye Özsoy and Ezgi Gökçe Sarı as vice presidents.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Murat Tezer, Vice Dean of Atatürk Education Faculty, Head of Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Maths Teaching, made a statement to Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University and said that in previous years, the volunteer students of the club gave private lessons to children in need of educational support at the SOS Children Village and in other foundations, in order to improve the academic achievements of these children.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Tezer also said that their main aims are organizing events and activities through which the children will endear mathematics, make maths studies a fun and bring students who like are interested in philosophy and history of maths together.
