The exhibition titled “Layers”, bringing together 50 works by 21 academic artists, will be opened by the Minister of Economy and Energy, Olgun Amcaoğlu, at the GÜNSEL Art Museum on Friday, June 12th.
The “Layers” exhibition, exclusively prepared by academic artists from the Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design and artists from the Cyprus Modern Art Museum, will be opened by the Minister of Economy and Energy, Olgun Amcaoğlu, at 4:00 PM on Friday, June 12th, at the GÜNSEL Art Museum Exhibition Hall.
The exhibition, which brings together a total of 50 works from the fields of painting, sculpture, ceramics, and printmaking, will offer visitors the opportunity to explore different forms of expression in contemporary art. Also marking the 483rd exhibition at the Cyprus Modern Art Museum, the exhibition will be open to visitors free of charge until July 1st.
The exhibition is curated by Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün, Rector’s Advisor and Director of the GÜNSEL Art Museum.

Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün, the curator of the exhibition, stated that the exhibition titled Layers” is a selection bringing together works from different disciplines, adding, “Every work of art carries within it the intellectual, emotional, and cultural layers of its artist, beyond what is visible. The works in the ‘Layers’ exhibition invite the viewer on a multi-layered journey with different techniques and forms of expression. This selection, ranging from painting to sculpture, ceramics to printmaking, reveals the richness and transformative power of contemporary art, while offering each visitor the opportunity to discover their own layers of meaning.”
Expressing that the exhibition, which brings together different voices and perspectives of art under one roof, will be a special experience for art lovers, Prof. Dr. Ergün said, “We invite all art lovers to the GÜNSEL Art Museum on June 12th to witness together the world of art that makes you think, questions, and opens new horizons.”
