Near East University has opened lateral transfer applications for the 2025-2026 academic year. In addition to lateral transfer opportunities to 21 faculties and 3 colleges, scholarship support is also available.
The 2025-2026 lateral transfer process at Near East University began on August 1st. Students from other universities wishing to study at Near East University can apply to transfer to one of the 21 faculties and 3 colleges.
Transfer students will be accepted to the Atatürk Faculty of Education, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Sports Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics, and Faculty of Agriculture, as well as to all departments affiliated with the School of Tourism and Hotel Management, School of Justice, Vocational School, and Vocational School of Health Services.

Near East University is among the best in the world!
Near East University, ranked 43rd in the world in the “2025 World University Impact Rankings” published in June by the London-based international higher education ranking organization Times Higher Education, was also ranked among the world’s top universities in 10 fields in the 2024–2025 World Field Rankings, released last week by the Ankara-based URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance) Laboratory.
The URAP data also highlighted Near East University’s strong position among Turkish universities in its fields. Among the 10 fields in which it was ranked as the best university in Northern Cyprus, Near East University ranked in the top five among Turkish universities in five of them. Among Turkish universities, Near East University ranked second in Physical Sciences, fourth in Mathematical Sciences and Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and among the top five in Information and Computer Sciences and Agriculture. Including the fields of “Engineering” and “Technology,” Near East University ranked among the top 10 Turkish universities in 7 of the 10 fields it participated in the study.
