Invitation to the Magical World of Dance… A Cooperation Protocol signed between Near East University and Anatolian Fire Dance Group

Near East University and Anatolian Fire Dance Group, which has performed more than 5,000 live performances in different countries and cities of the world, signed a cooperation protocol in order to create a new dance group in Northern Cyprus and to bring new dancers to Anatolian Fire Dance Group.

Within the the framework of the cooperation protocol signed on the campus of Near East University, the candidates who deemed successful as a result of the auditions to be held at Near East University, will have the opportunity to work in the main team of Anatolian Fire.

According to the information provided by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of the Near East University, the cooperation protocol was signed between the Near East University Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Tüzünkan and Anatolian Fire General Art Director Mustafa Erdoğan on behalf of their institutions. The dancers who will show their talents in the auditions and accepted to the Anatolian Fire Dance Group will have the opportunity to work with professional trainers and get the chance to take the stage in both domestic and international shows.

They will be included in the Anatolian Fire Group…
Applications for university students who wish to participate in dance auditions can be made to the Near East University Health, Culture and Sports Department and Anatolian Fire Nicosia Academy inside the complex of Nicosia Muhtar Yusuf Galeria. After the end of the applications that will continue for a month, the candidates will be trained by Anatolian Fire Art Committee instructors by taking dance, figure and rhythm lessons. Those who are successful in the final evaluations to be made at the end of the training will be included in the main dance group of Anatolian Fire as paid employees.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tüzünkan: “Near East University opens doors to be a dancer of Anatolian Fire..."
Near East University Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Tüzünkan, with regards to the cooperation made between the university and Anatolian Fire Dance Group, said that they invite the university students to the colorful and joyful world of dance.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tüzünkan saying that they are happy to mediate between their talented students and Anatolian Fire Dance Group which aims to meet Eastern and Western cultures, giving a message of universal peace, which is defined as a dance portrait of the Anatolian Fire Dance Group, stated that with this opportunity they offer students the opportunity to work and travel around the world, as well as the key to physical and mental development.

Tüzünkan stating that Anatolian Fire opening its doors to everyone interested in dancing, emphasized that Anatolian Fire Dance Academy founded in Nicosia will form a dance group for our country. Vice Rector Tüzünkan said "We will be proud of the fact that our young talents will be able to take part in the world-famous dance group that fascinates its audience with dances and shows from all regions of Anatolia and world, and receive training from an expert instructor-choreographer team. We are excited to support this new formation, which is in line with the mission of the Near East University aiming to bring society into different fields of art, to develop and disseminate art. We invite our students who are interested in dance to participate in this activity and have talents in this field to take part in this promising formation.


Mustafa Erdoğan: "We promise young people and children with an artistic adventure...”
Anatolian Fire General Art Director Mustafa Erdoğan stated that Anatolian Fire Dance Schools provide education to thousands of students and that they will form a new dance troupe in North Cyprus in cooperation with Nicosia Academy.

Mustafa Erdoğan stated that they want to introduce Cypriot children and young people to dance, to make them love to dance and to encourage them to make it a part of their lives. Mustafa Erdoğan said, "We are waiting for you on the campus of Near East University to teach the basic disciplines and repertoire of Anatolian Fire to youngs and children under the guidance of talented and experienced training experts who proved themselves in scenes of the world."

Erdoğan also said that they are promising young people an adventure with great memories and a very successful artistic life as well as the opportunity to work and travel around the world.

Cyprus Folk Dance will also be included in the choreography…
The Anatolian Fire, taking its roots from the Anatolia's mythological and cultural history of thousands of years, includes in its choreography almost 3 thousand folk dance figures from almost every region and is an original project that includes folk music and Mustafa Erdoğan said that they want to include the Cyprus Folk Dances in Anatolian Fire, as well, and by doing this, they will improve their choreography range as well as synthesizing the ballet, modern dances and other forms of dances of Cyprus.”
