Within the frame of “Information Activities” that organized collaboratively by the Department of Computer Informatics and Information Systems and Technologies Research Center that affiliated with NEU Center of Excellence, INFORMATICS and HEALTH was discussed.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, Professor Nedime Serakıncı, Head of Center of Excellence, delivered the opening speech of “Information Activities” that held in Atatürk Congress and Culture Center (AKKM) Hall 4.

Touching upon the importance of Bioinformatics in our era, Professor Serakıncı stated that bioinformatics had crucial roles in the medicinal sciences. “In this context, the event that we are actualizing now is very significant in terms of encouraging students studying computer informatics to generate projects regarding health issues. This has great importance for their future as well as for public health. I would like to take this opportunity and extend my appreciations to teaching staff of the Department of Computer Informatics and researchers at Information Systems and Technologies Research Center for organizing such a significant event” said she.
