The “2023 World Universities Impact Rankings” prepared by the London-based international higher education rating agency Times Higher Education (THE) has been announced today. Within the scope of the research, 1,441 universities were evaluated last year; This year, the contributions of 1,625 universities from 106 countries to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in their regions and around the world were evaluated. In the research, Near East University ranked 46th in “Quality of Education” and made its name among the top 50 universities in the world in this field.

In the “Sustainable Cities and Societies” category, where universities’ research on sustainability and their work that strengthens art and social heritage are evaluated, Near East University was ranked 77th and was shown among the top 100 universities in the world in this category.

In the “2023 World Universities Impact Ranking” of Times Higher Education, world universities in accordance with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDG); among them “Good Jobs and Economic Growth”, “Industry”, “Innovation and Infrastructure”, “Reduced Inequalities” “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions”, “Quality of Education”, “Health and Wellbeing”, “Partnerships for Goals”, “ Sustainable Cities and Societies” are evaluated and listed in a total of 17 categories.

In the study, in which the most influential universities in the world were ranked, Near East University was in the 401-600 band in the general ranking. Near East University ranked 46th in the world in the “Quality of Education” and 77th in the “Sustainable Cities and Societies” category; NEU enlisted in the 301-400 band in the “Health and Wellbeing” category, and in the 801-1000 band in the “Partnerships for Goals” category.
