‘IAAF Kids Athletics’ Project is going to be organized at Near East University

Near East University is going to play host and realize the IAAF Kids Athletics Project in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. IAAF Kids Athletics Project, which is implemented in 196 countries by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), is the most effective project for kids across the world.

The Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University released that Turkish Athletics Federation and Near East University would collaboratively organize seminar and app program for the IAAF Kids Athletics Project. The seminar and app program will cover theoretical and practical courses for the trainees. The courses will be held at Near East University on 15-16 March 2019.

The project aims to introduce children to Athletics at a basic level and ensure a steady and sustainable policy of development of the sport of athletics. This will enable the talented children to realize their potentials for athletics and encourage them to engage in athletics and take concrete steps towards championships in future. A program to educate the lecturers and coaches, who will run this "IAAF Kids' Athletics" Program, has already been initiated.

The 'IAAF Kids' Athletics' Program, which aims at enabling PE teachers and students studying at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of Near East University to develop and lay their sport infrastructure in the best way, will be implemented in the form of fun athletics by reaching wider masses.
