"Students Talk 7: We Are All Normal", the symposium that organized by the Student Club for Scientific Research and Health, which is affiliated with the Students' Dean of Near East University, attracted great attention.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, the symposium, which was organized by the students studying at the Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Medicine was realized at NEU Grand Library, Hall 4 with participation of many students from different universities across the country.

The symposium started with standing a moment in silence in memory of martyrs and followed by the National Anthem. The symposium was held in two distinctive sessions and provided platform for presentations on various issues.

Not Only a Scientific but Also a Social Club… 11 Symposia, 3 International Project Competitions Have Been Realized So Far....
In her opening remarks, medical intern Fatma Elagöz, the Chairperson of the Student Club for Scientific Research and Health, voiced their happiness of realizing their 12th symposium. Talking about the social responsibility projects, social activities and meetings that organized by the club so far, Elagöz extended her appreciations to the university administration, the club supervisor Associate Professor Serdar Susever, Students Dean Associate Professor Dudu Ozkum Yavuz, the staff of Students' Dean Office, the club organization committee and everyone who provided contribution.

Touching upon the significant role of the conventions, symposia and other meetings in discussing the outcomes of scientific studies particularly in the field of health, the club supervisor Associate Professor Serdar Susever delivered information regarding the establishment and objectives of the Student Club for Scientific Research and Health and underlined that they had organized 11 symposia and 3 international project contests so far.

Presentations on Different Issues Were Made...
Following the opening remarks, two sessions were held to provide opportunity for the participants to present their studies on distinctive issues. The sessions were respectively chaired by Elif Naz Yılmaz from the Faculty of Health Sciences and Yasin Onur Andaç from the Faculty of Dentistry.

During the first session Ayça Yiğit from the Faculty of Medicine, medical intern Elif Güneş, intern dietitian Merve Şensoy from the Faculty of Health Sciences, and Musa Kutluay from the Department of Audiology respectively made presentations on "What I experienced at my 7 years of age and what I will be in my 70 years of age", "I'm teenager, observe me carefully", "The door opening from my stomach to my soul", and "I saw, I heard, I know".

During the second session, information on adult and pediatric psychiatry was delivered by Assistant Professor Kuzeyman Balıkçı and Spec. Dr. Yeliz Engindereli. At the end of the symposium, each participant was given a certificate of participation.
