“GÜNSEL” also to introduce its second model on February 20

The first model "B9" and the second model "J9", which are the domestic and national cars of our country and designed by 109 Turkish engineers and of which prototype productions have been completed, will be launched simultaneously on February 20.

In the press statement released by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, it was announced that along with the introduction of "GUNSEL B9" on 20 February at the Elexus Hotel, the new model of GUNSEL, "SUV J9" will also be introduced.

With its second model “J9”, “GÜNSEL” will enter the mid-size SUV segment, which is very popular in Europe. Standing out as a four-door, large-volume family car, the “J9” will feature the most up-to-date electronic driving systems with high-efficiency levels. The "J9" will be a new concept that offers the freedom to users with its comprehensive features focusing on high power and more performance.

Prof. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Near East University, who is the mastermind of the "GÜNSEL" project and is the President of the R&D team, stated that they are counting the days to introduce "B9" , which is the first model of our country's domestic and national car “GÜNSEL”, which came to the stage of production as a result of the intensive studies of 109 engineers lasting 10 years, and on the day of the promotion of “GÜNSEL” B9 model, the second model of GÜNSEL, "J9", which is a model in the SUV segment, will also be introduced.

Reminding that they introduced the brand, model and technical features of GÜNSEL B9 in 2016, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said, “While we are happy and proud to realize that B9, which is the first product of our dream of producing cars, is now on the roads, we continue our dream of producing without slowing down. As Model 2, we have been continuing to work on developing the four-door SUV model called "J9". Our dream of producing cars is not limited to just one model. “GÜNSEL”, which will start mass production with an annual capacity of 2 thousand vehicles, is planned to reach 20 thousand vehicles in 2025. We aim to start a new generation in electric vehicle models in line with the trends in the world with our experience and creativity in line with the global goals of "GÜNSEL".

Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said, “The SUV segment has the biggest share in the world vehicle market. It is the most preferred vehicle model by users. It is highly preferred by families, especially in terms of creating large volumes and suitable comfort environment. We will have a mark in global competition while developing our production network with the Suv "J9" model, which is the choice of families after our two-door "B9" model that addresses to young people. In the coming years, we will continue to design our new models based on the ideas of vehicle users. The "J9" will come across for vehicle users as a very different model with its original and eye-catching design, dynamic and sharp lines, and innovative and technological interior design."

Prof. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel stated that in addition to the innovative and technological interior design of the Model “J9”, it will also reflect with its exterior design that it belongs to our country and nation. Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said that the rearview mirrors of “J9” have been designed to reflect the flag and colors of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Stating that Günsel Family has made all the efforts and taken all steps with the desire, faith, and perseverance to take root in this land, said “While the domestic and national car “GÜNSEL”, which we want it to be a source of pride for our country, runs on the roads with the sense of glorifying our national values and showing what we can do with our own resources, it will be the best example of protecting our national values."
