The TRNC Handball Federation will use the architectural project drawings of the RA 25 Indoor Sports Hall located on the Near East University campus in the indoor sports hall to be built in the Atatürk Sports Complex area in Nicosia Göçmenköy. According to the signed protocol, the Near East Enterprises gave the Handball Federation permission to use the drawings of the RA 25 Indoor Sports Hall.

The protocol was signed by Near East University Chairman of the Board of Trustees Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel and President of TRNC Handball Federation Bahadır Ayhan and entered into force. Near East University RA25 Indoor Sports Hall deserves to be taken as an example with its features. Standing out with its NBA standard flooring, NEU RA25 Sports Hall has an infrastructure that will carry Turkish Cypriot sports to international standards in indoor sports such as basketball, handball, volleyball and badminton, with FIBA ​​approved scoreboards and basketball hoops, IHF approved handball goals, and FIVB approved volleyball equipment. In the NEU RA25 Sports Hall, besides the automatic curtain system, which allows two different teams to train at the same time, from top to bottom; In total, there are four athletes rooms, two referee locker rooms, a first aid room, a press room, administrative rooms and a cafeteria.

Making a statement after the protocol ceremony, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel, emphasizing the world-class features of the NEU RA25 Sports Hall, said, “NEU RA25 Sports Hall plays a very important in achieving the goal of creating a strong sports school not only in our university but also in our TRNC.” Stating that they welcomed the request of the TRNC Handball Federation to use the architectural drawings of the RA25 Sports Hall for the indoor sports hall to be built on the land allocated to them, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said, “The increase in the number of halls equipped at the standards of the world-class equipment of the NEU RA25 Sports Hall will make a great contribution to the development and strengthening of the sports culture in our Northern Cyprus.
