Near East University bid farewell to its approximately 3 thousand graduates who successfully completed their education at 21 faculties, 3 colleges and postgraduate education institutes with a 4-day Graduation Festival at NEU Event Park. Families and graduates lived great excitement accompanied by DJ Ece Kanmaz’s performance. The ceremonies were concluded with a magnificent fireworks show.
The four-day graduation festival carried out by Near East University at NEU Event Park was concluded with great excitement. A total of 2,815 students from 21 faculties, 3 colleges and the Postgraduate Education Institute received their diplomas and threw their caps in the air at the ceremonies.
On the first day of the festival, 730 students who graduated from Atatürk Education, Arts and Sciences, Fine Arts and Design, Law, Theology and Communication faculties, Justice Vocational School, Vocational School and Postgraduate Education Institute had the joy of graduation with their families. On the second day, 780 graduates who successfully completed their education at Near East University’s Faculties of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Architecture, Sports Sciences, Tourism, Artificial Intelligence and Informatics, and Health Services Vocational School and Institute threw their caps up with pride. On the third evening of the Graduation Ceremony, 780 students who graduated from the Faculties of Nursing, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Engineering, Health Sciences and Agriculture were bid farewell with enthusiasm.
On the last day of the ceremonies, 525 students who qualified to graduate from Near East University’s Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicine took their first steps in their professional lives.

The Near East University Graduation Ceremony, which lasted 4 nights, attracted great interest from the families of graduates. The stands of NEU Event Park, which had a capacity of 3500 people, reached full capacity and families and graduates experienced great excitement with the performance of DJ Ece Kanmaz on each evening of the ceremony. The closing of the ceremonies was realized with a magnificent fireworks show.
On the last day of the ceremonies, the opening speeches were made by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel, and the Rector of the Near East University, Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ. While Doğa İsmailoğlu, a graduate of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, expressed his feelings on behalf of the students who graduated from the Turkish program, Zemzem Nur Bicek, a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy, made a speech on behalf of the foreign students.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel emphasized that graduation is the result of a collective effort that spans years as well as an individual one. Emphasizing that Near East University is not only a higher education institution but also a family, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said, “Each member of this family is a part of a body that does not only learn knowledge, but also questions, transforms and produces.” Addressing the graduates spread all over the world, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said, “From today on, you will leave the marks of this university wherever you step. You will make a difference with your knowledge, character and stance. Near East University is an institution that does not send its graduates off, but walks by their side throughout their lives. Never lose the curiosity, courage and kindness within you. May your dreams be big and your path be open.”

Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ emphasized in his speech that the university is not only a place where knowledge is transferred, but also an institution where individuals transform themselves. Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ said, “Today, you are not just completing an educational process here, we are witnessing the maturation of a way of thinking, a sensitivity, and perhaps a lifestyle.” and emphasized that students should deepen their own stories and grasp the world from a holistic perspective. Reminding that graduation is not just a date on the calendar, but also a moment of transformation and opportunity, Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ said, “Widen the meaning while deepening your knowledge. Zemzem Nur Bicek, a graduate of the Near East University Faculty of Pharmacy, said in her graduation speech, “Today, I am graduating as a pharmacist. I am starting a new life by writing my debt to everyone who believed in me on my heart. I am proud, hopeful, excited, but most of all, I am grateful.” Bicek thanked her teachers and said, “You have provided us not only with knowledge, but also with guidance, inspiration, and conscience. Everything I have learned from you will be my compass in my professional life.” Doğa İsmailoğlu, a graduate of the Near East University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, said in her speech, “Every step has transformed me into the person I am today.” İsmailoğlu thanked her teachers and said, “Everything I have learned from you will illuminate my path in my professional life.” İsmailoğlu also said, “We are not only protectors of animal health, but also of public health, the environment, and the whole of life.”
