Graduation feast at Near East University!

140 students who graduated from Near East University’s Nursing, Pharmacy, Atatürk Education, Tourism, Sports Sciences and Health Sciences faculties and Health Services Vocational School celebrated their graduation enthusiasm with a ceremony held at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center.

With the graduation ceremony held at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center, 140 students who graduated from the Nursing, Pharmacy, Atatürk Education, Tourism, Sports Sciences and Health Sciences faculties and Health Services Vocational School received their diplomas.

Near East University Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt, Atatürk Education Faculty Acting Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yağmur Çerkez, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. İhsan Çalış, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Adile Öniz Özgören, Dean of the Faculty of Sport Sciences Mehtap Tiryakioğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Prof. Dr. Tülen Saner and Director of Vocational School of Health Sciences Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aslı Aykaç, vice deans, heads of departments, academic and administrative staff, students and their parents attended the ceremony

At the ceremony, which started with a moment of silence and the voicing of the National Anthem, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. İhsan Calis gave speeches. Following Near East University Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt’s speech, Atatürk Education Faculty graduate Muazzez Çekici on behalf of the Turkish students and Robina Kauka, a Tourism Faculty graduate, shared their feelings on behalf of international students.


Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt: “Be open to innovation, search thoroughly before accepting or rejecting the new, work hard, constantly produce and own everything you produce.”
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the Near East University 2021-2022 Fall semester, Near East University Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt addressed the graduates and said, “The education you have received at the Near East University and the experience you have gained may have the potential to shape your life. I say potential because it is in your hands to turn it into practice and make it viable.” Emphasizing that Near East University educates individuals who not only have knowledge, but also produce and manage science and knowledge, Prof. Dr. Kurt said “This is why our main goal has been to raise individuals who are not content with the knowledge they have gained, but who want more, who produce science and knowledge, who employ it, and who are always skeptical and critical. Be confident in yourself, be close to everything you do, but don’t forget that you can do better.” Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt congratulated the graduating students saying “Be open to innovation, search thoroughly before accepting or rejecting the new, work hard, produce constantly and own everything you produce” and wished them success, health and happiness.


Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz: “You are now graduates and new ambassadors of Near East University. Your success and happiness will be the most valuable reward for us.”
Speaking on behalf of all deans at the ceremony, Near East University Faculty of Nursing Dean Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz said, “You are now graduates and new ambassadors of Near East University. Your success and happiness will be the most valuable reward for us. I do wish you happiness and success in the future”

Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz said, “Follow your dreams, work, read. Have values ​​and goals. Be individuals who think critically, question and search. We believe that you will serve your profession and humanity in the best way by constantly improving yourself and producing solutions to problems.”


Prof. Dr. İhsan Çalış: “Never be afraid! Be brave! Be different! Make a difference! Don’t give up! Reaching perfection and making the right decisions is now entirely in your hands.”
Reminding the graduating students that learning is a lifelong experience, Near East University Faculty of Pharmacy Dean Prof. Dr. İhsan Çalış said, “You should start your future career with this awareness. You have to constantly improve yourself. It doesn’t matter if you have a diploma in different disciplines. The important thing is that the person fulfills his responsibilities and obligations and meets the expectations of being a professional in the most respectable way.”

Giving advice to students to guide them in their future lives, Prof. Dr. Çalış said, “I am sure you will be afraid of the difficulties you may encounter at the beginning of your career. This is proof of being a professional and having a sense of responsibility towards society. Never be afraid! Be brave! Be different! Make a difference! Do not give up! Achieving perfection and making the right decisions is now entirely in your hands and within your capabilities.”


Muazzez Çekici: “As Near East University graduates, we are a well-equipped and knowledgeable generation with a long and successful history.”
Speaking on behalf of the students from the TRNC and Turkey at the Near East University 2021-2022 Fall semester graduation, Atatürk Education Faculty graduate Muazzez Çekici expressed her feelings saying, “Today we are leaving our school, our teachers and friends, with whom we are accustomed, loved and shared many precious memories and moments.”

Muazzez Çekici, who emphasized that getting a university education does not mean only gaining knowledge and graduating, said, “In my opinion, getting a university education is a process of learning to learn. What makes us strong against life is not our diploma alone, but how we fill the back of the diploma with what knowledge we have. A good past is the basis of a good future. As graduates of the Near East University Faculty of Education, we are now a well-equipped and knowledgeable generation with a long and successful history. That’s why we will come to the places we deserve by holding on to life tightly. We will set an example for the next generations.”


Robina Kauka: “Today we celebrate our success together. Congratulations to all my graduates.”
Speaking on behalf of all the international graduates of Near East University at the ceremony, Robina Kauka, a graduate of the Near East University Tourism Faculty, started by expressing her happiness for having the opportunity to express her feelings on her graduation day. Kauka, who thanked all his teachers who supported them, protected them and made them ready for the future throughout their education life as they were preparing for the future, said, “I would like to especially thank my mother, father and all my family who believed in me and gave me the opportunity to study here.” Stating that they had the chance to make new friends and a new environment at Near East University, Robina Kauka said, “Today, we are celebrating our success together. I congratulate all my friends who are now graduates.”
