Near East University Women's Basketball Team defeated Galatasaray in the first match of the semifinals with a score of 87-81 and got a 6-point advantage. The Women's Baskatball Team of NEU will go to the final provided that it defeats Galatasaray in the playoff game.

According to the statement made by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of the Near East University challenged to its opponent with Angelica Robinson, Quanitra Hollignsworth, Essence Carson, Kayla McBride and Courtney Vandersloot at the Abdi Ipekci Sports Hall where over three thousand spectators followed the match. Having support from fans, Near East University managed to defeat its opponent.

The playoff match between NEU and Galatasaray for the final of FIBA European Cup will be played on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 19:00 in Istanbul Caferağa Sports Hall. If Near East University achieves a score advantage in this match as well, it will mark its name in the final of EuroCup.
