Within the scope of her graduation project, Gülcen Gündağ, student at the Department of Photography and Video Production of the Faculty of Communication of Near East University, realized a social responsibility project under the title "Children Hand in Hand" for the benefit of Çağlayan Children’s House that affiliated with the Social Services Office of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

For their needy friends in Çağlayan Children's House, students have drawn pictures for T-shirt design in workshops that carried out jointly with Near East Primary School. The drawn pictures were prepared as T-shirt design minions and bookmarks and then sold. The proceeds from the sale were donated to Çağlayan Children's House.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, Faculty of Communication Acting Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeçi, who is the supervisor of the mentioned social responsibility project, stated that they set it as a mission to raise well equipped individuals, who always prioritize social responsibility.

"Within this scope, we always encourage the students to engage in activities regarding the benefits of the society rather than personal priorities. We spare no sacrifice to pave the way for them to gain social responsibility and maintain it as a life style. We always support them and help them by ensuring an environment equipped with all possibilities required for establishing an outstanding career with a solid social responsibility”.
