The 6th International Eurasian Educational Research Congress ( EJERCongress 2019) was held in Ankara on 19-22 June in collaboration with Ankara University Faculty of Educational Sciences. The main theme of the congress was Empowering the Education; Research, Theory and Practice.

The congress lasted four days and provided a scientific platform for academics, instructors and field experts to share information and experiences through panels and workshops.

The Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University released that Assistant Professor Ayşe Gözde Koyuncu, Assistant Professor Barış Koyuncu and Expert Tijen Zeybek, faculty members from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Near East University, participated in the event and presented their study on 'Digital Game Addiction Levels of Grade Secondary School Students'.

Based on the data acquired from investigations on students, the study unveils that 22.3% of the students show a tendency towards digital addiction with a significant difference based on gender. The study presents data that the tendency of developing digital addiction is higher in male students than female students. The study concludes that the time spent in the digital environment decreases as the school success increases.

Drawing attention to the crucial role of such scientific studies in uncovering the facts, the researchers underline the importance of research findings in fostering children and young people to use the internet more consciously as well as protecting them from the risk of addiction. The study concludes that further scientific studies on this issue will have a significant role in ensuring the effective and balanced use of the internet since the introduction of internet in formal education process led children spent more time in virtual environment.

The study that presented by the faculty members of Near East University under the title 'Digital Game Addiction Levels of Grade Secondary School Students' attracted great interest of the attending body.
