They Will Experience the Excitement of October 29th in Cyprus
50 years have passed since the Cyprus Peace Operation. However, for the veterans from Tokat, Cyprus continues to live on in their memories as a special place bearing the traces of their youth, courage, and patriotism.
The Cypriot veterans from Tokat will also attend the official ceremony to be held in Nicosia on the morning of Republic Day, October 29th. For the veterans, who will celebrate the 102nd anniversary of the Republic on Cypriot soil, this visit will not only be a commemoration but also an emotional gathering where history will be relived.
Historical and Cultural Tour Program
Before the ceremonies, the veterans will participate in special events where they will meet with students on the Near East University campus. During these gatherings, the veterans will share their memories with young people, contributing to the transmission of values such as patriotism, solidarity, and a sense of independence to future generations. Under the guidance of Near East University, the veterans will also visit historical and cultural sites in Cyprus.
