Near East University Women's Basketball Team defeated Galatasaray in the away game with a score of 81-68, with 13 points difference, in the semifinals of FIBA Women's European Cup, and jumped to the final, becoming the first finalist of FIBA Women's European Cup.

The opponent of Near East University in the final game is Bellona AGU. With this result, Near East University has so far won five matches with Galatasaray on different platforms.

According to a statement made by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, Near East University, which found strong support for the game played at the Caferağa Sports Hall in Istanbul, stood out of the ground with Courtney Vandersloot, Kayla McBride, Elin Eldebrink, Angelica Robinson and Quanitra Hollingswroth, and completed the periods 16-9, 41-30, 59-52, 81-68.

The Near East University Women's Basketball Team will challenge to AGÜ Bellona in the EuroCup Cup final in Kayseri in the first match. The match will be played on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, and the away match will be played on Wednesday, April 12, 2017.
