North Cyprus Mixed Photo-Painting Exhibition consisting of 130 photos selected from the collection of photographers Ediz Tunçel and Elif Tunçel and recreated with special painting effects will be opened by the Minister of Labor and Social Security Zeki Çeler.

According to the press statement made by the Near East University Press and Public Relations Directorate, the "North Cyprus Mixed Photo- Painting Exhibition", which is the second of the "Every Nook and Cranny of North Cyprus Photo-Painting Exhibition" and will feature scenes from almost every part of North Cyprus, will be opened on Friday, April 5, 2019, at 10:00, at the exhibition hall of the Faculty of Dentistry.

The exhibition titled "North Cyprus Mixed Photo-Painting Exhibition" will consist of 90 photo-paintings of Elif Tuncel and 40 photo-paintings of Ediz Tuncel, which were selected from the photographs taken in every corner of Northern Cyprus and reflecting the natural, cultural, human and historical values of our country. The photo-paintings, which give the impression of a painting when seen in close-up, and look like photographic images in the distance, are the second photo-painting exhibition presented to the art-lovers among the facilities provided by the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts.

The only university that has so many Art Works...
Elif Tuncel, stating that they have visited every corner of our country when they had the opportunity since 2010 and made an archive of North Cyprus photos, said "Some of the frames selected from this archive are presented to art lovers. We were making a hobby while taking these photos. Today, the work of this hobby is valued, shared, exhibited, and archived for future generations. In this respect, the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts is making a great contribution to the artists, their works and the culture of the country, and is preparing an invaluable heritage for future generations. There is probably no other university in the world that hosts and exhibits so many art pieces."

Ediz Tunçel stating that the Cyprus Modern Art Museum made an achievement within a time less than a year, an achievement that was not realized throughout the 450 years of history of the Turkish Cypriots, said that hundreds of thousands of artists from various geographies contributed to our culture with their thousands of works.
