Prof. Dr. Özkul: We are trying to ensure the promotion of TRNC at international platforms..."
In his opening remarks, Professor Ali Efdal Özkul stated that Nelli Bube's paintings hold a worthy place in the private collections and art galleries in different countries across the world.

"Using a semi-decorative style in her works, the artist remained loyal to the culture of Kazakhstan and reflected her admiration for the beauty of Cyprus in her Blooming Cyprus and Colors of Northern Cyprus. Today, we will experience fully the pleasure of being at a distinguished exhibition featuring artworks created by using different painting techniques on canvas such as relief printing and graphics” noted he.

Expressing that a valuable nature-themed artwork created by Özay Günsel Haskasap, the grandson of Near East University Founding Rector Dr. Suat Günsel, would take place at the exhibition, Professor Özkul delivered information about the museum activities of Near East University.

Underlining that they attached importance on art and museology as much as they attach importance on science, Professor Özkul stated that they had actualized the Cyprus Car Museum, the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts and the Cyprus Herbarium and Natural History Museum in which science, technology and art had been well blended. Stating that new museums such as Cyprus Turkish National History Museum, Maritime Museum, Knife and Sword Museum would be launched on the campus within the body of the university, Professor Özkul expressed his views:

"Under the helm of NEU Founding Rector Dr. Suat Günsel, Near East University, which adopts the 4th generation university model, has undertaken a pioneer role to create social awareness and promote TRNC at international platforms. Being aware that a society devoid of art can't have a full existence, Near East University has been proceeding towards becoming a distinguished art destination to reflect Turkic art and culture to the entire world. Today, Near East University as well as TRNC are known in full details and followed in 14 Turkic republics and communities. As a result of the workshops organized by Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, many Turkic artists opened exhibitions of various themes at the exhibition halls of Near East University. As of the end of June, the number of these exhibitions has exceeded 50. Currently, more than 10 thousand of artworks of various art forms constitute the core of the inventory of the museum. It is clear that this number will exceed 20,000 when Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts moves to her new building on 15 November, 2020” said he.

This new experience will be a threshold and a new starting point for me to work harder with a wider horizon. 15 of my painting at this exhibition reflect the culture of Kazakhstan, while two of them reflect the colors of unmatched beauties of North Cyprus.
