Colors of the World Meet at Near East University

The “International Culture Day” held at NEU Event Park on the Near East University campus brought together students from dozens of countries with different cultures and created colorful scenes.

The Near East University campus creates a cultural mosaic with students from 143 different countries receiving education at NEU. This multicultural structure of the university was once again revealed with the “International Culture Day” event. In the event organized by the Near East University International Student Office at NEU Event Park, students had the opportunity to share their cultural values ​​in an enthusiastic atmosphere.

In the event, which saw intense participation of the university’s student unions, students from different countries introduced their countries with their traditional costumes, music, dances and local dishes. The stands, stage performances and interactive activities set up in the festival-like organization attracted great attention.

The International Culture Day, which was held with the participation of hundreds of students, emphasized the importance of cultural diversity and international friendship. During the event, students not only introduced their own cultures, but also had the opportunity to get to know each other’s traditions up close.

Emphasizing that Near East University is a multicultural and international campus university that brings together students from 143 countries and young people from all over the world, Near East University International Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rana Serdaroğlu Tezel said, “Our students are preparing for the future by getting to know different cultures on our campus, being part of an international network and growing up in an environment of tolerance.” Stating that they aim to increase interaction between students from different cultures with the “International Culture Day” they carried out, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rana Serdaroğlu Tezel said, “Our students, each of whom is a cultural ambassador, have the opportunity to introduce their own culture while getting to know different cultures throughout the International Culture Day. Thus, our students graduate from Near East University as confident individuals integrated into the global world.”
