Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts plays host for "Azerbaijani Artists' Painting Exhibition and "Bashkortostan Artists' Painting Exhibition".

The Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University released that the opening ceremony of the "Bashkortostan Artists' Painting Exhibition, which features 40 paintings of 4 Bashkortostan artists, would be realized at the Exhibition Hall of the Faculty of Medicine at 09:00 on Friday 31 May, 2019. It was stated that the exhibition would be opened by Faiz Sucuoğlu, the Minister of Labor and Social Security.

The opening ceremony of the "Azerbaijani Artists' Painting Exhibition, which consists of 41 paintings created by 11 Azerbaijani artists, will be held at the Exhibition Hall of Atatürk Faculty of Education at 17:00 on Friday 31 May, 2019. The exhibition will be opened by Nazım Çavuşoğlu, Minister of National Education and Culture.

Both exhibitions will be open to visits between 08:00-16:00 hours till 15 June 2019.

The Bashkortostan painter Vagiz Shaikhetdinov, whose paintings reflect a realist style, uses the notion of philosophy and history as the main theme in his work. Rida Shaikhetdinova, the art editor of a national newspaper, brings child themes into the forefront. Salavat Gilyazetdinov, who is engaged in a wide range of art activities such as printed graphics, experimental graphics, textiles and paintings as well as design and book graphics, illustrates the memories of children, historical themes and epics in his works. Azamat Gilyazetdinov, whose works are predominately on printed graphics and sculpture, works out the symbolic and historical themes.

Azerbaijani painters; Tural Moyufov, Adil Yusif, Tahir Alakbarov, Sabir Gasimov, Amina Alakbarli, Anar Huseyinzada, Niyameddin Gocayev, Torakhim Aghabayova, Emin Alakbrov, Ramina Saadatkhan and Emin Asgerov reflect the contemporary art movement in Azerbaijan through their precious artworks created by using different techniques.
