Near East University Fine Arts and Design Faculty Plastic Arts Department Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yücel Yazgın represented the TRNC by taking part in the jury of the “International Al-Jazari Juried Group Exhibition” held by Dicle University.

The exhibition held in the name of Al-Jazari, who is considered the world’s first cybernetics scholar and the greatest inventor of Anatolia with his many inventions, was carried out in order to understand the scientist-designer personality and scientific-artistic imagination of the great scholar and to transform the national and international reflections of these features into works of art based on plastic-artistic original interpretations by contemporary artists. Near East University Fine Arts and Design Faculty Plastic Arts Department Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yücel Yazgın took part in the jury that determined the works in the exhibition.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yücel Yazgın: “It has been a very meaningful privilege to represent my country and my university in the jury of the International Al-Jazari Group Exhibition.”
Stating that he is proud to represent the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yücel Yazgın said, “We bring the Turkish world together under one roof in the artistic works we carry out at the Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, and the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts. In this respect, it has been a very meaningful privilege to represent my country and my university in the jury of the International Al-Jazari Group Exhibition.
