The tradition of minstrelsy, registered as the “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity” by UNESCO, stands out as one of the important parts of the cultural diversity and richness of Anatolia as well as its cultural memory. These two masters of the minstrel tradition will be commemorated with events to be organized in cooperation with the Near East University and the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY) on May 17. With the participation of President Ersin Tatar, the photography exhibition “Aşık Veysel in the Press and Through the Lens of the Masters”, which will be opened at the Near East University İrfan Günsel Congress Center Exhibition Hall on Wednesday, 17 May, will bring together the hitherto unknown photographs of Aşık Veysel with art lovers.
