The sounds of the piano will rise throughout the summer at Near East University Hospital. The recital series initiated by Near East University Atatürk Faculty of Education with the theme of “Play for Health” will continue to bring the healing power of art to the hospital. As part of the project initiated in the second semester of the academic year, Music Teaching students have both gained the experience of performing in front of crowds and boosted morale with their melodies through the piano recitals they have been giving regularly every day.
Pianist Çağıl Cansu Şanlıdağ, who has also given concerts in many cities in Europe, presented a rich musical feast to the audience with her classical piano repertoire consisting of works by important composers such as P. Scharwenka and J. Brahms, and was followed with appreciation by a wide audience.
The piano in the foyer area of the Near East University Hospital hosted İrade Melikova, an expert artist from the Department of Music Teaching, in June. In the following days, Dr. Gözdem İlkay’s piano was accompanied by soprano İmge Dinçer, who gave an impressive performance.
