Applied Media Education Studies, which will be carried out by the Near East University Faculty of Communication, Radio, Television and Cinema Department, Communication Research Center and Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation (BRTK) will start on April 15. Media training activities are organized in the training activities to be held at BRTK. Training workshops, organized for Radio, Television and Cinema students to see professional practices on site, will take place in BRTK’s lecture halls and studios.

The workshops will be coordinated by Neşe Ergüçlü and Raif Hızal at BRTK and the university leg of the workshops is coordinated by the faculty members of the department, Prof. Dr. Fevzi Kasap, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ufuk Celik, Assist. Prof. Dr. Sinem Kasımoğlu, Dr. Serkan Fundalar and Lecturer Zeyde Yalıner Örek are coordinating.

Communication students will see news, live broadcast and program production on site
In the trainings to be held at BRTK, workshops titled “News and News Application in BRTK” by TV News Supervisor Selda İçer, “Live Broadcasting and New Media Applications in BRTK” by Foreign Live Broadcasts Specialist Ali Kurtoğlu and director Erhan Akbora, and “Programming and Applications at BRTK” by producer and director Cemal Yıldırım, will be held.

Near East University Communication Faculty Radio, Television and Cinema Department Head Prof. Dr. Fevzi Kasap said that with the workshop, they aim to enable students to observe work discipline and work coordination in an official institution, to get to know the technical infrastructure of BRTK and to get practical information from the experts in the kitchen of the business. Prof. Dr. Kasap emphasized that the trainings will continue in the future in cooperation with the BRTK Directorate.
