Applications have started for the “Life on Campus” photography contest organized in cooperation with Near East University and the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, aiming to add vitality to the art environment by supporting the work of photography artists. The contest was organized with the themes of “Human and Life”, “Natural Life”, “Art”, and “Environment and Architectural Structures”, and will be open to photographs taken on the Near East University campus.

In the “Life on Campus” photography competition, which is open to everyone’s participation, the winners of the work will be awarded a “Certificate of Achievement” as well as various awards given by the jury.

The award-winning competition will be open to the participation of professional and amateur photographers.

In the jury of the photography competition, which is open to the participation of all professional and amateur photographers, Head of Near East Enterprises Museums Department Prof. Dr. Ali Efdal Özkul, Dean of Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Prof. Dr. Erdal Aygenç, Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Vice Dean and Advisor to the Rector Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün, Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Head of Graphic Design Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökhan Okur and photographers Mehmet Gökyiğit, Gazi Yüksel and Buket Özatay will take part.

The winner will win a night’s accommodation for two at Mimoza Hotel. The second-place winner of the contest will receive a two-month membership from the Near East University Sports Tower, and the third-place winner will receive the right to Standard Panel Check-up at the Near East University Hospital. In addition, those who will be awarded the “Award of Achievement” will be given a certificate of achievement. The works that deserve to be exhibited after the jury’s evaluation will meet art lovers with an exhibition to be organized by the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts in April.

Each participant will be able to participate in the contest with 5 photographs, the deadline for which is March 29!

Participants will be able to apply for the contest by sending their works, which must be 35×50 centimeters in size and 300 dpi resolution, along with the application form, to [email protected]  until March 29, 2024.
