The innovations brought to education by the artificial intelligence-based academic AI. Prof. DUX, developed by Near East University and actively used in education, attracted great attention at the “23rd Traditional Antalya Education Symposium” held in Antalya.

Near East University introduced its innovative work in the field of artificial intelligence-based education systems at the “23rd Traditional Antalya Education Symposium” held by the Private Schools Association of Turkey in Antalya. The experiences of the artificial intelligence-based academic AI. Prof. DUX, developed by Near East University and actively used in education, were among the most interesting content of the symposium.

The symposium, which was held with the participation of 15 private colleges and lasted four days, addressed innovative approaches and digital transformation in education. In the symposium, where digitalization in education and artificial intelligence-based learning systems were highlighted, Near East University academics also made a presentation that attracted great interest of the participants. In her presentation titled “Artificial Intelligence-Based Learning: Ensuring Success for All Students with Prof. Dux!”, Zöhre Serttaş from the Department of Information Systems Engineering at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics of Near East University, discussed in detail the integration of artificial intelligence into educational processes and the personalized learning experiences it offers to students.

In the event, which attracted great interest of the participants, topics such as individualized learning paths, virtual classroom environment, automatic question generation and data security came to the fore. During the presentation, the advantages provided by AI. Prof. Dux to teachers and students were conveyed in detail, and the practical demonstrations were highly appreciated.

In her presentation, Zöhre Serttaş also introduced innovative features such as virtual classroom environment and avatar support, which increase teacher-student interaction. Stating that teachers can create their own virtual characters, avatars, in the digital environment, Zöhre Serttaş stated that students can interact with their teachers through these avatars. It was also stated that virtual classroom environments complement traditional education models and offer a more dynamic and personalized learning experience.

The system regulations are based on the European Artificial Intelligence Act!

Emphasizing that the system, which offers data-based analysis and reporting features for teachers, facilitates lesson planning, Zöhre Serttaş stated that thanks to automatic question generation and dynamic exam modules, evaluation processes compatible with the curriculum are accelerated. Serttaş also stated that the system, which stands out with its user-friendly interface, intuitive design and compliance with international data security standards, offers special goals and achievements to students in accordance with the curriculum determined by teachers.

Stating that these goals can be integrated into the system with the approval of teachers in line with the assessments of AI. Prof. Dux, Zöhre Serttaş emphasized the security measures that ensure high-level protection of teacher and student data in the system supported by instant test processes can be carried out. Zöhre Serttaş also emphasized in her presentation that the system was designed in accordance with international data security and privacy standards and that the regulations were shaped based on the European Artificial Intelligence Act.
