The largest library in the region, with 2.5 million printed books and over 1 billion digital resources, the Near East University Grand Library serves as a research and cultural center of international standards with its modern building covering 15,000 square meters and extensive archives. The center, which offers 24/7 access to information digitally through remote access, features 17 film booths, 12 individual and group study rooms, 4 amphitheaters with a capacity of 1,000 people, a theater stage with a capacity of 350 people, and study areas for 1,000 people.

Providing access to specialized content on a wide range of subjects, the Near East University Grand Library, with its archives, is virtually a National Library. Bridging the gap between the past and the future, the center brings together knowledge, culture, and art under one roof. The Grand Library also hosts a wide range of events, from congresses to meetings, with its exhibition spaces and fully equipped halls. One of the most striking aspects of this wealth is the Rare Books Collection.
The collection, which houses over 10,000 works in literature, history, religion, and art, includes research, manuscripts, personal collections, encyclopedias, decrees, maps, and important works by Turkish researchers. The Grand Library also offers access to the private collections of numerous politicians, thinkers, historians, researchers, and literary figures.

Cyprus documents from the United Kingdom National Archives, covering the period 1878–1975, are also available to users at the Near East University Grand Library. These documents shed light on the island’s political, social, and economic history, encompassing a wide range of details, from official correspondence between institutions to inter-communal negotiations. Some political documents, particularly those from the 1950s and 1975s, reveal the political atmosphere of the period. The documents include reports kept by British officials on newspapers published in Cyprus, various documents related to foundations, and investigations into prominent politicians in Cyprus during the relevant years. Furthermore, this collection, housed in the “Cyprus Special Section,” encompasses a wide range of works related to the island, from the earliest printed works to those published today.
