A Seminar titled as “Trustworthiness and Leadership in Academy” was given at Near East University

A seminar titled as “Trustworthiness and leadership in Academy” was given at Near East University. It was pointed out that the seminar was held due to the cooperation protocol signed between Near East University and Malaysia, National Institute of Educational Management & Leadership, and issues such as the visibility of individuals and the institutions, the trustworthiness and leadership which they provide were taken at hand.

According to the press info release from the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the opening speech of the seminar was made by the Head of Centre of Excellence of Near East University, Prof. Dr. Nedime Serakıncı. Additionally, it was revealed that the Head of National Institute of Educational Management & Leadership, Dr. Sazali Yusoff had also made a speech, touching upon the significance of sharing information and cooperation during a period of globalization.

In her speech, Head of Centre of Excellence Prof. Dr. Nedime Serakıncı stated that trustworthiness and visibility were attributes which emerged from each other and at the same time, they were attributes which help to develop science; such that trustworthy institutions and individuals’ work became more visible, and vice versa. Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Nedime Serakıncı emphasised that the work of scientists which have become trustworthy also reflected trustworthiness to the institution they are employed in, making the institution a trustable one and more visible than before. She pointed her belief that following a similar path, Near East University was gaining trustworthiness at an international platform. She then provided detailed information regarding the academic studies carried out at the Near East University, adding to the trustworthiness, visibility and leadership of the institution.

Dr. Sazali Yusoff: “Scientific studies play a significant role as gateways to opening to an international world and to the visibility in the academic world.”

Also making a speech at the seminar, Dr. Sazali Yusoff, Head of National Institute of Educational Management & Leadership, emphasised the significance of sharing data and knowledge in a period of globalisation, and this could be achieved through making cooperation with other institutions. He pointed out that they were cooperatively running with Co-Heads of Centre of Communal Research and Development, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fahriye Altınay and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zehra Altınay- a project on culture, trustworthiness and leadership. Moreover, Dr. Sazali Yusoff stated that scientific studies played a significant role as gateways to opening to an international platform and to the visibility in the academic world. He ended his words by expressing thanks to parts involved in making the cooperation between the institutions.
