A meaningful visit from Near East University students and faculty members to Famagusta İrfan Nadir Over 18 Disabled Rehabilitation Center

Near East University students and faculty members visited the İrfan Nadir Over 18 Disabled Rehabilitation Center in Famagusta and organized an event on the occasion of the 3 December International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Near East University Vocational School Hair Care and Beauty Services students offered hair and beard care to men in Famagusta İrfan Nadir Over 18 Disabled Rehabilitation Center and provided hair, make-up and nail care for women. Head of Hair Care and Beauty Services Department Assist. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Üstün Aksoy and Head of Social Research and Development Center Prof. Dr. Fahriye Altınay and Prof. Dr. Zehra Altınay also attended to the event.


If there is love, there are no barriers…
Speaking about the event organized to raise awareness in the society due to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Assist. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Üstün Aksoy stated that every person should not forget that they are a candidate for disability and said, “We are always with the disabled individuals and their families, who overcome the obstacles that prevent them from being a part of social life with determination and faith, not only on the 3 December International Day of Persons with Disabilities.”

Assist. Prof. Dr. Aksoy said, “I would like to thank Melek Çaluda, the President of the Cyprus Turkish Association for the Mentally Handicapped, and Atakan Alasya, the Head of Famagusta İrfan Nadir Over 18 Disabled Rehabilitation Center, and all the teachers and staff for their support in this event.”
