A cooperation protocol was signed between Near East University and Kosovo Prizren Ukshin Hoti University

Near East University continues to expand its international cooperation network by signing a cooperation protocol with Prizren Ukshin Hoti University, one of the leading universities in Kosovo. Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, who is in Kosovo to attend the “10th International Turkcess Education and Social Sciences Congress” which included 300 participants from 14 countries, met with Rector of Prizren Ukshin Hoti University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mentor Alishani and signed an academic cooperation protocol.

The cooperation protocol, which will contribute to both universities becoming stronger internationally, covers areas such as student and academician exchange programs, joint research projects and scientific publication production. With the cooperation protocol, the exchange of information and experience will also be increased through joint seminars, conferences and workshops to be held between the two universities.

Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ also participated as a member of the honorary board of the “10th International Turkcess Education and Social Sciences Congress” which brought together 300 participants from 14 countries, hosted by Prizren Ukshin Hoti University in Kosovo. This year’s theme of the international congress, which is organized to share research and practices in the field of education and social sciences and to encourage information exchange between academics and experts, is “Artificial Intelligence Applications and Education in the 21st Century”. Participants from all over the world discussed the latest developments in artificial intelligence applications and education.

At the congress, where Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ was among the opening speakers, Near East University Health Operations Center President Prof. Dr. Dilber Uzun Özşahin also participated as an invited speaker. While Prof. Dr. Dilber Uzun Özşahin delivered the presentation of “Artificial Intelligence Applications in Health” in the face-to-face part of the congress, Near East University Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things Research Center Director Prof. Dr. Fadi Al-Turjman also discussed the topic “Artificial Intelligence Supported Adaptive Learning” in the online session. In addition, an interview was also held with Near East University’s artificial intelligence-based academician AI. Prof. DUX within the scope of the congress.

Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ emphasized that the signed cooperation protocol will provide important gains not only in the academic field, but also in cultural and social aspects. “This collaboration between the two universities, in addition to sharing knowledge and experience, will allow our students and academics to get to know different cultures and gain a global perspective,” said Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, and added; “Such collaborations are of great importance in strengthening scientific productivity by expanding the international vision.”

Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ stated that the protocol will contribute to the progress of both universities in the long term and said, “Developing international scientific collaborations is one of the basic visions of Near East University. The academic cooperation protocol we signed with Prizren Ukshin Hoti University is a very important part of the cooperation network we have created.”
