Near East University represented at National Engineering Geology Symposium

Prof. Dr. Cavit Atalar, Near East University Ground and Earthquake Research and Evaluation Center Director, lecturer of Department of Civil Engineering, Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering and acting head of Department of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering attended to National Engineering Geology Symposium organized by Trabzon Technical University and Association of Engineering Geology in Trabzon in memory of Prof. Dr. Fikret Tarhan.

According to a press statement issued by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of the Near East University, Nicosia, Cyprus, throughout the symposium which was held with participation of a huge number of researchers, engineers and managers, 67 presentations were made including subjects such as geothermal energy and engineering geophysics applications, stability and landslide of slopes, tunnels and engineering geology applications in the dam sites, rock properties and behaviors of ground, engineering applications relating to natural building materials, soil behavior and other natural disasters related to earthquakes, hydrogeology and engineering applications.
